Tuesday is World Down Syndrome Day, and at the Foundation, we’re taking a moment to celebrate our DS Active team, who are a key part of the Imps family.
They train on the LNER Stadium’s 3G pitch on Saturday mornings, providing players with an engaging and fun environment in which they can develop on their football journey.
Everyone at the club is extremely proud of our team, some of whom have been part of the programme for more than eight years. In the past year, they have won a tournament at Bottesford Town FC, with the trophy proudly displayed in our Foundation office. Imptoons also raised £600 for our DS Active team this season, which was used to purchase a new match kit for when they proudly represent the Imps!
