Our Extra Time Hub sessions are designed to increase social interaction and physical activity for over anyone who is retired, semi-retired or approaching retirement.
Our Extra Time Hubs aim to make a positive difference to the lives of retired and semi-retired people and for them to find out about the range of activities on offer in their free time as well as give them the chance to meet and spend time with other like-minded people from the area.
“I was petrified the first time I went; I didn’t know why I was scared as everyone was so friendly. I have been going since August. I really enjoy it and look forward to it now. I have met so many friendly people and made new friends. It’s nice to join in all the activities and sometimes to just sit and talk”.

LNER Extra Time Hub
Our LNER Stadium session has been running for several years and has flourished into a welcoming, friendly hub of people.
At these sessions, members come along to socially engage with others, catch up over a cup of tea and biscuits, as well as a chance to try different activities and sports. We vary activities each week and include quizzes, bingo, boccia, new age kurling and carpet bowls.

This is a multi-sport session aimed at helping people to stay fit and active in their retirement. Members have the chance to try different sports and activities amongst friends. The session is inclusive to all levels of fitness and skill - our emphasis is on movement and fun!
