The Lincoln City Foundation marked World Parkinson's Day by welcoming participants from the Active Together Parkinson’s exercise class to the LNER Stadium ahead of City's 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient.

This year’s theme, ‘Bridging the Gap’, highlighted the importance of support and connection, something which closely aligns with the Foundation’s mission to create inclusive opportunities and strengthen community engagement.

Participants from the Active Together class attended the match alongside a family member or carer, with several enjoying their first live football experience at the LNER Stadium.

Active Together is a specialist exercise programme designed to support people living with Parkinson’s, helping participants improve mobility, strength and confidence while also providing a valuable social network.

The matchday provided an opportunity to celebrate the strength and resilience of those involved, while also raising awareness of Parkinson’s as the world’s fastest-growing neurological condition and highlighting the importance of community support.
