Lincoln City Foundation are accepting applications for a new youth mentor to work within the Education & Employability team.
This is an exciting role where the right candidate will have the opportunity to drive real impact through engagement with the young people of Lincolnshire.
The youth mentor will lead on the charity’s practical aspects of the Education and Employability programmes such as youth programmes, NCS and Impowered projects.
The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be organised, and work well with a variety of different key stakeholders. They will have a proven experience in delivering exciting and engaging practical sessions to young people.
Lincoln City Foundation utilises the brand and reputation of Lincoln City Football Club, alongside leveraging our own potential and the influence of our key partners, to inspire, empower, and help individuals and communities to improve their physical, social, and mental wellbeing.
The youth mentor will play a pivotal role in the support of planning, coordination, recruitment, and delivery of the Foundation’s youth programmes for those aged 16-19 years, including NCS.
The position will be expected to contribute to the further development of the Foundation's work, whilst ensuring the quality and professionalism which is synonymous with the organisation.
The youth mentor will support the delivery of the Foundation’s youth programmes to:
Support the programme leader to coordinate day-to-day running and delivery of programmes through our projects to inspire the youth and young adults.
Act as an advocate for youth provision, leading by example and mentoring young people to provide the best possible experience for our participants.
Plan & delivery youth programme delivery.
Assist the Education & Employability team to deliver assemblies and recruitment activities in schools, colleges and sixth forms.
Deliver on the Keep Warm Strategy with phone calls, marketing, Keep Warm events and communications with young people and parents.
Assist participants from initial applications to the start of the activities and through to the completion of the programme.
Support delivery of the NCS programme including pre-programme engagement, residential timetabling, social action planning & delivery and graduation events.
