LEARN ON THE JOB
The BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport is a fantastic course for balancing both practical and theoretical aspects of sport, sports science and the sports industry. In recognising that hands-on experiences are just as valuable as classroom-based learning, our BTEC programme hosts some fantastic work placement opportunities.
In year 1 your involvement in work placement is optional, as we want to support you in finding your feet in the newenvironment, but if requested we can support you.
In year 2 you are required to complete 2 hours per week of work placement in 6-week blocks, this allows you to experience different areas of the industry before you commit to a career path. Areas include Sports Business, Sports Marketing, Coaching, Teaching, and Football Development.

Places are limited within each department and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. However, we will endeavour to match as many students as possible to their options throughout the year. If you would like to take part in an external work placement please give us the details as soon as possible so we can make contact and see if it is possible.
