What to Expect
Education
Education is hugely important, and this aspect of the programme will help students achieve a productive and fulfilling career in sport, both on and off the field. Students offered a place on the programme, will receive both football training and education programmes through Lincoln City Foundation. All students will study towards a Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport (equivalent to 3 A-Levels) and will also have the opportunity to resit GCSE Maths and English if required based on grades achieved at secondary school. BTEC classes will be a mixture of theory and practical sessions in order to deliver course content.
Football Training
Students will have the opportunity to be enrolled in two football leagues and one futsal league where they will represent Lincoln City. This will provide the opportunity to develop player experience and skills within an approved football governing body league.
To provide players with the best opportunity to succeed, 6 hours of football coaching will be incorporated into the timetable, whilst complimenting the education programme demands.
