Sorensen honoured for community work

Lasse Sorensen has been named City’s 22/23 PFA Community Champion.

The winner, as chosen by the Lincoln City Foundation, is the player who has made the most significant contribution to the community throughout the season.

Lasse has gone above and beyond in the region throughout this campaign, including visits to foundation sessions, schools and 617 co-founder Marcus Needham’s funeral on behalf of the club.

Foundation chief executive Martin Hickerton said:

"Lasse has been an absolute star for us this season, being a regular at our events and really building a connection with participants and members of our team.
"Nothing has been too much trouble for him, and he has done absolutely everything we've asked from him, and always with a smile. He's a credit to himself, and he's helping us make a real impact in our communities."

Lasse was presented with the trophy by Martin and Foundation director of quality & development Alex Bavin prior to Tuesday's game against Barnsley. Supporters will also get their chance to acknowledge Lasse's contribution to their community as part of the on-pitch presentations after the final game of the season against Shrewsbury Town on Sunday, 7 May.

Lincoln City Foundation utilises the brand and reputation of the Imps to help individuals and communities to improve their physical, social, and mental well-being - click here to visit their website and find out more information.
