A local girls football team from Ling Moor Primary School reached the semi-finals at the regional finals hosted by Chesterfield Community Trust.

On their way to the semi-finals, the side representing Lincoln City Foundation excelled in the group stages, finishing top of their group and winning every game without conceding.

In the semi-finals they faced Leicester City and despite battling until they end, the side were narrowly beaten 1-0.

As well as the matches, the girls took part in various workshops, including discussions on what it means to be a woman in sport, meeting current Chesterfield Women's players and even getting the chance to see the Premier League Trophy up close.

A massive well done to the Ling Moor Primary School players who represented Lincoln City Foundation.
