Participants in the Lincoln City Foundation’s Girls’ football pathway were joined by Jamie Garbutt, the Head of Leonardo’s Lincoln Academy at a recent session, as the Lincoln-based business continued to show their support towards the initiative.

Hosted by Martin Hickerton and Danny Carter, Jamie was able to witness first-hand the incredible work carried out at the training sessions, which are dedicated to supporting girls and young women in their football journey.

The company – which specialises in defence and IT – has made a big commitment to the Foundation’s Football Development provision through generous donations, volunteering and promotion.

Jamie saw the Girls ‘Emerging Talent Centre’ and other development sessions being led by the talent community coaches. In total we now have over 200 girls on the football journey, many of whom have been recently inspired by the ongoing success of the England Women’s National Team.

It goes without saying that the Foundation is incredibly grateful to Jamie and everyone at Leonardo for their fantastic support and thanks to their generosity and kindness, we have been able to continue helping those who want to develop their game.
