Lincoln City Foundation have unveiled a bold new strategy to spell out how they will help the people of Lincolnshire lead healthier and happier lives.

The 2025-2030 strategy, unveiled as part of the EFL Week of Action on Thursday with an interactive launch session attended by local partners, sets out goals including achieving £15million of social value over the term of the plan.

The Foundation also plans to work closely with 50 partner schools across the county, and continue its growth delivering further and higher education.

Last year the Foundation helped more than 8,000 participants - a record - with £1.7m invested into the local community.

Hamish Falconer, MP for Lincoln, was among the speakers at Thursday’s event. He said: “I’m really supportive of the Foundation who are doing really important work with a massive role, both here in Sincil Bank and across the city. I’ve met lots of young people who have really enjoyed the work the Foundation does.

“When they get involved in sport and other activities the Foundation supplies, that gives them purpose and friendships.”

Martin Hickerton, chief executive of the Foundation, said: “As a team, we are united by a passion for changing lives — working with Lincoln City Football Club and serving our communities with purpose and pride. Our work supports people of all ages and backgrounds: helping young people realise their potential, keeping communities connected, and improving the health and wellbeing of those who need it most.

“As chief executive, I am proud to introduce our strategy for the next five years — a new chapter focused on growth, innovation, and deeper impact across Lincolnshire and beyond. Together, we will continue to build stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities, ensuring that the Foundation remains a force for positive change for generations to come.”

Liam Scully, chief executive of Lincoln City and chair of EFL In The Community, added: ”The Lincoln City Foundation is a shining example of the power of football and the positive impact it can have across a community. By harnessing the reach and profile of Lincoln City Football Club, alongside the drive, passion, and dedication of the Foundation team, the next five years promise an exciting period of growth and meaningful impact.

“We are incredibly proud to work shoulder to shoulder with the Foundation, delivering programmes that directly benefit our fans, local communities, and the wider network across Lincolnshire. Together, we are not just supporting individuals — we are helping to build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities, demonstrating the true potential of football beyond the pitch.”
