Ahead of Saturday’s hosting of Cardiff City in Sky Bet League One, the Lincoln City Foundation invited supporters who often attend matches on their own to take part in a pre-match catch-up event.

There was a great turnout at the Co-op Community Hub, with those in attendance enjoying a welcoming environment, as well as some free coffee, tea and cake.

Christmas can be a difficult time for anyone, at any point in their life. Whether you’re struggling for the first time this year, or have found it difficult in the past, there is support available thanks to the Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team.

As in previous years, LVET have collated information on organisations and places that are offering support, warm spaces and safe spaces, or meals over the Christmas period, covering all of Lincolnshire from 24 December to 2 January.

The Foundation’s director of growth Alex Bavin said: “I’d like to thank everyone who came down to our Imps Catch-Up event last Saturday.

“It was great to see so many people come down and enjoy a friendly atmosphere with us in the Co-op Community Hub.

“We’ve had some fantastic feedback from those who attended which we will take onboard for future events.

“The final thing for me to say is that whatever your circumstances are this Christmas, there is support available thanks to Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team who have pulled together a fantastic list of activities available over the Christmas period.”
