On Saturday 24th February Lincoln City Foundation’s DS Active Team travelled to Manchester City's Etihad Campus for a tournament!
This event was more for the joy of playing the game than winning, and although the players from Lincoln always want to win, the important part for them was to put into practice all of the training they had been doing on the 3G pitch at the LNER Stadium every Saturday morning.
Players were from Lincoln City, Moorside, Manchester City, Egerton, and Warrington Wolves.
The Imps were the only ones to have enough players to make a full team, so the other players joined forces to make Man City White and Man City Blue. This was after Lincoln played a team made up of players from Warrington and Moorside.

An awesome first game. The Imps played really well. Warrington & Moorside gelled well as a team.

The Imps had lots of shots on goal, but Man City’s keeper was good. The Imps showed great teamwork.
