Active Together

Lincoln City Foundation are launching a new seated chair exercise programme specifically for people living with Parkinson’s called Active Together in partnership with Parkinson’s UK.


The scheme will start on Friday 6 October, and will run every Friday from then on from 11am-12pm. Sessions will be held at the Centre Spot, which is located at the LNER Stadium. Exercise has been proven to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of people living with Parkinson’s. The programme will focus on building participants’ muscle and bone strength, flexibility and joint mobility while also reducing the risk of falls and lowering stress levels.

Sessions will also aim to build a community for people living with Parkinson’s, with refreshments and social time available after the exercises. The exercises will be led by instructors who have completed the Parkinson’s UK physical activity and training course.
