After being delayed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Olympics finally got under way on the 23rd July much to our excitement. 65 Team GB medals later, the closing ceremony last Sunday 8th August ended the Games we had to wait that little bit longer for. Two weeks of running, jumping, swimming and even skateboarding has given us all Olympic fever here at the Foundation.

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long before the Paralympics begin in a couple of weeks time, so to celebrate all things Olympics and Paralympics we will be hosting an Olympic Week at Holiday Club!

From the 23rd until the 27th August we will be hosting our very own Olympic Games! We will still have our football coaching and matches every morning as usual, but the afternoons will be dedicated to different Olympic disciplines. A fantastic opportunity to try different sports and maybe even inspire the next Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill or Sir Mo Farah.

Our Olympic Week will begin with Multisport Monday, which will be a warm up day to prepare us all ready for when the Games begin. We will also have an Olympic Torch Relay and an Opening Ceremony! Across the week we will have sports like hockey, gymnastics, cycling, archery and we will be finishing the week with a bit of athletics! Like all good Olympic Games, there will be a Closing Ceremony to round the week off.

If your child would love to be involved with our Olympic Week at holiday club you can still book a place here.
