Lincoln City Foundation are delighted to announce the launch of their Summer School at LNER Stadium taking place for children aged 5 to 11 years from Monday 27th July 2020 to Friday 28th August 2020.
With the growing concern of school closures causing slower rates of learning as a result from the pandemic, Lincoln City Foundation have created an innovative summer 2020 programme to support children with their physical, social and mental wellbeing.
Building on the existing successful holiday club provision, the Lincoln City Summer School will provide children with an exciting and worthwhile day of fun-filled activities based around education and sport. Each day will consist of a minimum of 2 hours of interactive education and 2 hours of sport participation, delivered by qualified teachers and coaches.
The Lincoln City Summer School will run every weekday from 9.00am until 3.00pm for primary school years.
Raj Randhawa, the charity’s Community Manager said:
“We are really excited to launch our brand-new Summer School to our community. We have had people contacting us almost every day, desperate for a childcare solution over the summer and we are thrilled to be able to provide it for them. We have spent a lot of time going through government guidelines to ensure that we were able to provide a safe, fun environment for the children, parents and our staff. There will, of course, be additional safety measures in place, which will make the sporting activities we run over the summer different to our usual offering. However, we are confident children will still come away with the usual smiles on their faces and we can’t wait to welcome them.”
Summer School places will be charged at a rate of £25 per day and it is anticipated that there will be a high demand for the spaces and would advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
Lincoln City Foundations Summer School provision will be adhering to the latest COVID-secure government guidelines to ensure your child's safety remains their top priority. Just like within schools, children will be placed in bubbles of 15 children according to their year group. With different drop off and pick up points for each bubble.
