Lincoln City Foundation have continued to build their on-going relationship with the Lady Imps Supporters Association, as they become the Ladies Walking Football team sponsor. This weekend our Ladies Walking Football Team compete in the People's FA Cup against Birmingham Walking Women Whites.
The Lady Imps Supporters Association (L.I.S.A) was founded in March 2017 to encourage and enhance the experience of female supporters at Lincoln City Football Club. L.I.S.A quickly evolved from a Facebook group to a committee led "not for profit" organisation arranging social events and working closely with the club. Although L.I.S.A has a gender specific title, the group welcomes both women and men.
Maria Horner, Founder of the Lady Imps Supporters Assosication (L.I.S.A) said: "The Lady Imps Supporters Association has supported Ladies Walking Football project from the start. We love supporting Lincoln City FC but also wanted to encourage women to have a go at playing - even if they’d never kicked a ball before."
"The sessions are fun and we don’t take ourselves too seriously - but we are competitive! It’s been great to see the confidence of the players flourish and new friendships blossom.
There are no barriers. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what size or shape you are. Hopefully more ladies will come and take part."
"Therefore L.I.S.A is delighted to be able to support the team with a proper kit to proudly represent our club and the Foundation in fixtures against other teams. Good luck to our team in the People’s FA Cup this weekend"
Lincoln City Foundation Walking Football Coach, Kat Hall said: "We are very delighted to partner with with L.I.S.A. They share the same values as the Foundation and encourage women of all abilities into football and socialise."
"We are looking forward to our long-standing partnership."
If you would like to get involved in our Ladies Walking Football, sessions run each Saturday morning at Sincil Bank Stadium 3g from 11am - 12pm. £3 per session.
