Lincoln City Foundation were part of an online award ceremony on Thursday 11 June after being named finalists in three categories at the East Midlands Charity Awards:
· Outstanding Charity Support – Large Companies (Cargill partnership)
· Outstanding Charity Support – SME (Lincoln Tea and Coffee partnership)
· Charity Director of the Year – Paul Hamnett, Head of Foundation.
The Foundation was in good company and faced some amazing ‘competition’ in each category. Each award had an overall winner and a Highly Commended recognition, of which the Foundation received on behalf of Cargill and Paul Hamnett for Charity Director of the Year.

East Midlands Charity awards were set up to recognise and celebrate charities, social enterprises, volunteer groups and other no-for-profit organisations for their outstanding contributions to our communities.
This year, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the organisers took the decision to host the ceremony online with more than 150 attending virtually to hear the announcement of winners. Nominees were invited to dress up for the occasion, raise a glass and led a Cheer for our Charities just before 8pm to close the formalities online.
Charlotte Hornsby, Operations Manager at Lincoln City Foundation said: “the online event was facilitated brilliantly by the organisers and was a moment for positive celebration at a time where charities around the UK are facing some real challenges.
“It was great to see so many faces and hear about the truly fantastic projects that are happening in our area and the impact they are making on individuals’ lives. The Foundation was thrilled to be shortlisted and so grateful for all the continued support we have received from our partners, staff, participants and their families.”
Other Lincolnshire based charities celebrating at the awards were St Barnabas Hospice, Every-One and EDAN Lincs.
