Imps fan Alex Newbold, who plays Dipsy in the theatre version of the children's TV show, was left a bit red-faced after the video of his mature performance at Sincil Bank went viral over the weekend.
Best man, Craig Hollingsworth set it all up and presented Alex with a "Groom 19" Lincoln City shirt - before the full extent of the stunt for Friday night's game against Yeovil was slowly revealed to Alex at 7pm outside Sincil Bank, 45 minutes before kick-off.
Alex told LincolnshireLive: "When someone gives you a bag containing a kit it does not occur to you as a 30-year-old man that you're going to be a mascot - I thought the kit was a nice surprise.
"But then I was walking out with seven seven-year-olds in front of 9,000 people."
Alex later tweeted: "What a hilarious night! My best mate @craig_olly sorted my stag do last night and the surprise was that I was a 30 year old mascot for @LincolnCity_FC.
The trainee mortgage broker certainly had the last laugh as the Imps went five points clear in League Two with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a 69th minute Mark O'Hara header.
From all at Lincoln City Foundation, we would like to wish Alex and wife-to-be Lauren Martin a wonderful marriage when they tie the knot in August.
