Apprentice Finance Administrator

37 hours per week -21 month fixed term

£4.81 per hour (increase to minimum wage upon performance review after 12 months)

Well now is the time, as we have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Finance Administrator to join our family at Lincoln City Foundation.  If you are just starting out on your finance journey or looking for a change of career this could be the role for you.

Based at the LNER Stadium in Lincoln, and home to Lincoln City FC, you will be joining a small and friendly team who will support you and help you learn all of the essential financial skills.

The Finance Administrator’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working alongside the Business Support Leader and the finance team to ensure essential financial and administrative duties are completed accurately and by the required timescales

  • Accurately entering and maintaining information on the Xero accounting software, such as invoices, bank transactions and purchase orders.

  • Purchase and Sales ledger processing

  • Assisting the finance team with monthly management accounts and annual forecast and budget reports

  • Contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service

WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?

An apprenticeship is a funded programme where an individual learns new skills, knowledge and behaviours in a chosen sector. An apprenticeship will enable you to work and earn a wage whilst developing and gaining new skills as an employee.

Alongside your day-to-day duties, you will complete the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accountng (Level 2) over a period of 21 months. This is a nationally recognised qualification and the primary objective is for you to learn and understand how to carry out financial tasks to support the various needs of the business. You will be supported through this qualification by your line manager and the training provider. Lincoln City Foundation will allocate 20% of your weekly contracted hours towards studying for this qualification.
